Just disabled the low washer fluid light and recoded the radio on a mkV Fahrenheit GLI, today.

Apparently, certain rain-x washer fluids will cause the level sensor to fail; thus giving you a constant low washer fluid warning.

His aux port wouldn't work on the radio. A quick coding change fixed that. :wrench:

Haven't been posting a lot in here lately. Just bought a house and finally have a driveway to work on with garage space! Happy, happy, joy, joy.

So much work needs to be done at the house!

Still here. Done a few brake jobs, axle replacements, cv boot repairs, belts, valve cover gaskets and other preventative maintenance since moving in to the new house.

Finally got a work bench set up in the garage with a pipe vise and a bench vise; right next to the hydraulic press. :wrench:

I'm still here. Just fixed a P0420 issue on an 03 convertible new Beetle, fixed the rear hatch glass and hatch latch mechanism on a Ford Escape, a coolant flush on a Passat, and a timing belt service on another in the past month. :wrench:

Have another t belt / water pump service on deck in the next few weeks!

Just finished up work on a late 2004 Jetta with an AWP 1.8t.

Valve cover gasket was so bad that the oil coming out ruined the intake manifold gasket as well.
Replaced both of them, original spark plugs that had 96k miles on them, replaced all the PCV components with an 034 Motorsport breather kit because all the original parts have crumbled, as well as switching out a flaky MAF with a good working used one that I had on hand.

That car has basically had zero maintenance other than oil changes and replacing of the Combi valve 10k ago.
It was basically unable to be driven at this point(misfiring, no vacuum brake assist, jerky acceleration) It's back running like a champ now. :wrench:
