Hello, I have a 2004 passat and unfortunately do not have the center compartment with the hand rest installed and was thinking of retro fitting one and I found one exactly like my spec but my car is a left hand drive one and the one I found is from a right hand drive car and thus the handbrake is located on the other side. Is there a way to change the place of the handbrake or make it fit in any other way in an OEM way or do I have to scrap this idea? Thanks in advance

Yeah we know each other, we are from same town and both have Passat's year 2004. Both want to change the console to make it with handrest but having trouble to find the part for left hand drive near our town because for god knows reason in our city 90% of Passat's are english that come from UK. Is it a hard job to change consoles ?
