So, I've done a fair bit of work on my B5.5 Passat, in the realm of making it work more how I would like it to - and, I've set myself up to be able to do it for the community. I can re-write CCM software with VDS-PRO, and I can now do it on the workbench.
And, because I have VCDS (unlimited VINs!), I can do adaptation changes, too - also on the workbench.
BIG NOTE: I'm currently only set up to do bench coding of 1C0- CCMs. If this goes well (read: I get a decent take rate, to justify buying more things), I'll try to acquire things need to also do this on early B5/MkIV 1J0- CCMs, too.
I'm fully documented on changes needed to do 'window operation via remote', regardless of model.
Also, for B5.5 Passat wagons, I can also (fully works, did this on my own car) recode the CCM to have the tailgate "unlocked" when all doors are unlocked - and, it actually releases when you hold the 'trunk' button on the remote, too!
So, I have these things together. And, I'm now offering it as a service to the B5 and MkIV community. You mail me your CCM, and PayPal me $40. I do the changes, and mail it back to you (return shipping is included in the cost.)
Work will be done the day I get the CCM, and will hit the mail the next day. Return shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail, complete w/ tracking.
If you have other adaptation changes that need to be done (because, well, you have no VCDS), that can be arranged.
Something else, that I don't have docs on? We can talk - just send me docs, and I'll see if I can do it on the bench.

That's a 1C0 CCM on the bench, and my laptop (running VDS-PRO here.) Connection is good.

Because I'd rather not post, say, email address (or PayPal info) in an open forum, that part will be handled in PM. But, please post in the thread that you want this done (and, maybe post feedback after it's done!)
