Hi guys, I'm usually on Mercedes forums and DIY all mine, but.... I found a 07 Passat wagon value edition for $3,400, this would be for my son, looks pretty clean in pictures and its close to me, Says trans has issue with shift solenoids, I can probably replace them myself with the kit, would this be a good deal if engine works fine, or should I pass on it? here's what listing says.

OK after reading many posts from here and other forums, its about 25% chance new solenoids will fix the issue and they end up buying a remanufactured transmission, don't you just love transmissions! I would only pay $1,500 for that car knowing all the work involved.
