Hey guys,

Hoping you can help me with a problem my girlfriend is having on her Jetta.
Her brake lights (all 3) will not go off. They stay on the whole time she is driving, so it gets annoying for other drivers, and its dangerous cause they cant tell when she is braking. Even when the car is off, they stay on. The battery died this morning. I'm about to give it a jump. I was hoping someone would know what is wrong with it. Hopefully just a fuse. MAybe someone knows what fuse it is? she bought the car used so it has no owners manual. TIA:bowdown:

Same problem with 2004 passat

Is the 2004 passat under this same recall?

How did you get it fixed?

Any help would be appreciated.

Same problem on my 03

I have the same problem right now on my 03. The brake lights stay on even when the car is off. I have to sit there and press the brake pedal until it goes off. Good thing its not all the time.
