Just bought new rotors and pads for my 99 b5 1.8t and the auto shop quoted me 330 $ for the install is that a rip off? :???:

How hard is the install to do my self?

Did my front ones last saturday, approx 2 hours from start to finish including stops for tea (still cold here at the moment!)

rears are no more difficult if you have the correct tool for winding in the calipers.

the tool your gonna need is a brake piston tool or the specific vw tool.
i did the rears on mine last weekend and i bought a 3$ brake piston tool and welded it to a 5$ 6inch C-clamp and made my own tool and it worked like a charm :thumbup: PM me for more info on the tools needed.
