The manual calls for 2 years and the brake pedal feels a bit spongy so I think it's time to flush the brake fluid. Is there anything on the Passat that makes this a non standard brake fluid flush? I hear the pressure bleeders work well, has anyone tried one on a passat?

I had a motive . . . . honestly it doesn't work well because it doesn't get air bubbles out of the caliper. Best way to do it is with two people and manually.

Anyways i got rid of my motive after two brake bleeds. Didn't do much and after the 2nd time, i did it manually and got some air bubbles out.
