I put myself on thier mailing list thinking if they actually released an intake sometime before 2020 it would be a good thing. Well i checked my email today and sure enough there was an update:
Funny how it states it should be used in dry weather only...would that be the company's CYA statement, or is it so far down that there is a potential for water inhalation (if water can defy gravity)?
yeah, that's what they say on their site but I don't see anything different from other CAI design. I think they just wanna make sure they're not responsible for any engine damage.
I gotta be honest, i think the ABD intake setup looks like a much btter build than this boosted, I mean if i didn't read the thread, i would have thought this was a home made intake.
I think it's better than ABD's as the filter is further away from the turbo. ALthough the note about only being used in dry weather is very stange. I've never seen any other mfg of a cai state that so why do they?
if it rains hard enough, sure why not. highways around my area flood easily all the time. they're not katrina flooding conditions but enough where i can see the water splash against my windows.
