What is the blue bubble canister on the driver side engine compartment? It has a vacuum line on it thats not hooked up.

From the reservoir to the intake manifold with a T in it for the rest of the system. Think of it as a surge tank.

When the engine is making vacuum, it stores some of it up. When the engine isn't making vacuum and a vacuum driven component needs some, it gets it from there.

Sort of like what a battery does with electricity, this thing does but with vacuum.
