Have to do my CCT in 03 Passat 1.8 AWM, found a complet kit from Blauparts that includes gasket, CCT, valve cov. gasket, cam valley seal and cam seals + The tool for the CCT. Anybody use Blauparts, price is $225 on sale but seems much cheaper than everyone else as most Tensioners are $200 and up , alone.

I'm curious as well. My pops says they are good, he uses them for customers cars. He told me to get my contol arm kit there.
I've used them a few times already. There seems to be issues with bad parts in the timing belt kits. When I bought my tb kit last year they were suggested along with ecs as good choices. Lately though with the tb part problems it is going the other way. I've yet to have any problems with ecs tuning and I did get a valve cover gasket kit from them.
I'm more or less concerned with the cam chain tensioner, I want a decent one without paying 400 too 700 dollars unless that's what it takes. Have many people on here done the CCT? Searches have not yielded much in the way of replacing the CCT.
I bought some control arms from them and they were good
FCP Groton web site is good. I got a timing belt kit. good quality cheap price.

Here is the FCP Groton web site from which I ordered the TB kit.

The water pump was with shiny real metal impeller. I am impressed.

Haven't had problem with their timing belt parts and it has been a year, 8k miles with no problem - fingers are crossed.

Thanks, I'm letting my indy take care of it so its done.

@DR NO, keep those fingers crossed and keep an eye on everything, I see more problems at around 30k mark from most of the posts here. I went 35K and about a year on my kit. I'm having it all removed this weekend for peace of mind. I'm already paying the labor so why not.
