Hello! I have a b5 year 1998. I have a problem with the battery, which remained after two days when I did not start the car. It doesn't do it often, but in some cases when it rains, so in the wet.

Clarify if the problem is: 1) I parked the car, it rained, the car will not start. 2) I started the car, drove the car in the rain, parked the car, the car will not start.

Do you have a sunroof? Does it leak? Check these areas for water after a rain storm:

Test the sunroof with a hose. In many of our cars, debris fill up the bottom of the drain hose where it exits the car (inside the wheel wells). Water backs up, has no where to go, enters the cabin, drains down the A Pillar on to the dash and into the fuse box. This can cause a short to ground that does not blow a fuse if the water is on the voltage supply side.

Unrelated to rain, a driver's side power seat can drain the battery is the motor is failing or any of the switches get stuck in an operational position.
