B6 passat coilover selection...?

Hey guys I'm new to this whole blog/forum thing, but I have some questions for everyone. I have a b6 passat that I'm looking to lower 2-3", I have 225/35/19 rims and I'm just bombarded by all the different coilovers out there. I was thinking d2 racing, but then I started reading about everyone going with fk streetline or st coilovers. I don't want junk, and I still want to have a fairly decent ride, can anyone kind of point me in the right direction or throw some helpful advice my way? I've never lowered a car before so I'm really not sure what to look for in coilovers.
