Have a 2010 Komfort wagon with the 2.0 TSI. Every now and then after a short drive, or a really hard drive I’ll get back in it after, say 30 minutes or so I think, and it just will not start up. It will crank and act like it’s trying to fire up, but just won’t. Normally, I can leave it for about an hour or so and let it cool down and it should start right back up. I guess my question is, is this like a vapor lock that is going on with this thing? Or have others experienced this? There are no codes being thrown using my handheld scanner.

Replaced timing chain when? Does it ever sound like a diesel when you start up?
The probllem (once I sat back down and did some logical thinking) was the Coolant Temperature sensor. Took 5 min to replace, and works fine now. Selling the car now, so that took care of the issue and I feel better about selling the car to an individual
