B6 17"x7.5" Le Mans Rims on stock height B5.5 Passat

Original Wheels: Wellingtons 15"x7" ET 37mm
Original Tires: 195/65 R15

Replacement Wheels: Le Mans 17"x7.5" ET 47mm
Replacement Tires: 235/45 R17

Fitted without any spacers. Plenty of room towards the wheel well liner, however VERY close to the steering knuckle.

The Le Mans wheels have two different finishes: a painted finished and machined aluminum finish, all covered in clear. Mostly like the machined finished will be damaged from curb rash and scuffs since those are the outer finishes on the wheel. Simply sanding the damage on the machined finish will result in a shiny smooth surface which looks different than the original lined, matte finish.

Looks nice! Are you gonna throw some spacers on there to avoid any contact with the knuckle?
Thanks, I like them too. As for the spacers, probably not. I'm a cheap bastard and was waiting for a set of wheels I could use without spacers.

Picked these up on CL for $150 for a set of 5. They had really good Blizzaks on the front, some inner-worn winter Sears tires on the back, and the original spare tire. Bought some sand-paper, lacquer thinnger, and some Dupli-Color clear coat to fix up the curb rash. Can't see the sanded down areas from a distance, only up close.

Loving how the car handles with the 17's. Firm but surprisingly not harsh. Just threw on a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric A/S. Luckily got a good deal at Mavis Discount Tire for those by price-matching a Discount Tire Direct rebate and human error!
$150 for a set of 5? Awesome deal, I wish I could find some for that cheap haha.
Yeah, I had to SCOUR craigslist for a while to get those. Turned out a guy that flipped cars had these extra when the buyer wanted different rims for the B6 he was working on. He just wanted scrap value and to get rid of em. I used an iphone app that let me search local CL's all with one search instead of having to manually change cities.
Damn, I wonder if they have that for android, I need that, what was the app called if you don't mind me asking?
Ah Le Mans, the older brother of Wellington.

She looks good OP

cPRO Craigslist Client. Pretty decent free app. I've considered purchasing it for the extra save favorites and searches feature.

Thanks man! It only took 10+ years for me to make the move to bigger wheels, lol. Road Americas, Capezios, Vancouvers, Madras

EDIT: Those were wheels that caught my eye while still having Wellingtons.
I have cPRO too, makes CL searching a lot easier. The one thing I'd like to see is a feature allowing results from ALL selected cities to be combined and grouped by post date, not each selected city sorted by date. But hey, I can't complain. It was free.

10+? Geesh. I think mine lasted 2 months before changing wheels. Regardless, better late than never ;)
Ahh, thank you for the name of that app! :salute:
