Didn't know there was another version. Bentley only lists the service manual. It does have repair procedures...I have the older version, I guess. It is a single book, but like 4" thick.
But, you can also buy a scanned copy on CD. I bought one for my Son's 07 Jetta. It's pretty comprehensive.

i just bought a volkswagen Passat volume two book hard cover. It is one of two books that i did not know prior to purchasing. Now i need book volume one . As i looked at e-bay i noticed the books all had the volume one or two either removed or shaded out so the consumer would not be aware of two books would have to be purchased.That first book cost me under $40 shipped and it is brand new,but with out book 1 i am screwed,and why i can not find book 1. None of the books showed have volume one or two shown on the book it self. I e-mailed a few sellers with no response they are avoiding me for some reason. So if any one has volume one for sale in clean condition please let me know Thankd!

I didn't realize that there was that much interest in this. I will sell it for $55 including shipping. That is Paypal friends and family - otherwise they charge me a fee, and I'm not keen on paying fees. @fake is first up. If he passes, then @Ralphie18 , then @Arinius - but if you are in the UK, I have no idea what the shipping $$ will be.

Uhhh, that's not how this works. @Ralphie18 : you still interested ?
