2000 passat B5 1.8t gls with 120k miles. Has k and n drop in and straight piped from cat back also recently did timing belt and brakes all the way around apr ecu upgrade is in the mail, and I am thinking a roll cage and a set of pro 2000s will be next. My goal is to have the fastest B 5 in North America. I am curious if anyone out there has a B 5 racecar and if so any advice? I also have a lot of stock B 5 parts for sale including exhaust ecu seats and pretty much any interior trim stuff, and more to come soon. I am new here so any input would be appreciated.

Well if by having the fastest b5 in both terms of the passat and A4 good luck. Current fastest b5 that I know of is an A4 with an AEB putting out alittle more than 1000hp at the wheels if I'm not mistaken. Also be ready to spend a $hit ton of money.

What the heck is a pro 2000??

K&N is only good for oiling your MAF and letting larger particles into you motor--ditch it.

A roll cage is your 3rd or so mod?? For a 200 bhp family car? When was your timing belt last changed? Remember, maintenance>mods. But even then, a roll cage would be just about the last mod, for a purpose-built race car.
