Hello, I haven't been in the Passat scene for a while now so I am a little wet behind the ears especially on the 2002 W8 I recently picked up and was wondering if these parts are the same across the B5 platform to make it easier for me to find some parts that I need:

1. Hood strut

2. Air intake tube

3. CCM

2. no. design is different.
3. likely no, as it has to communicate with the ECU.

1. Hood strut is the same and you can source a generic one from an auto parts store (Advance, Autozone, Carquest, etc.) It does not have to be the OEM one... as all hood lifts are made to operate the same.
2. Won't work from a B5
3. A B5.5 CCM might work, but a B5 definitely not. You want to have matching part numbers from the old on the new.
