hopefully if my recall is correct.....,there are four drain hoses for the sunroof, two per side they pass (corresponding sides) ,with one in front to front door jams, seen with door open (little rubber boot) these hose holes are easily seen with roof open, the other hose of the roof is in its rear corner (this might be your query)and are hard to get to,they make there way to rear wheel well, inner fender,I believe

Most likely either the read drains are clogged or the drain line has become disconnected or broke. I have read you can take some string trimmer line and carefully push it through the drain holes and down into the lines to push out any crud that is stuck in the line.

Other than that I would be willing to guess you will have to drop the headliner a bit to inspect the drain line

+1 for the broken or dislodged drain tubes. Especially if the headliner has been replaced.

Make sure the sunroof drains are open not clogged up.

I have read that the damaged rubber door seals may also be the culprit.

I have had major issues with water intrusion from sunroof on our 2008 VW Passat Lux.
Drivers side leak killed an electronics module ($1,000 to replace) while we were on a trip(3 day delay).
Had faithfully cleaned the drain hoses (only two - drivers & passenger) twice a year, and had resealed
the connection between the sunroof and the drain hose following another post on this forum (requires
gaining access under the head liner above the front doors).
Unfortunately, it was the connection between the drain hose and the exit which had separated (mine
drains into the chamber by the windshield wiper) and the leaking water flooded the electronic module
in the drivers side dash). I posted on my repair of this issue. Yours probably drains near the door frames,
and there have been several posts regarding this issue.
Good luck, Pete
