I have a 2004 Passat wagon 1.8t auto that is completely stock. I plan on lowering it using KONI orange shocks (STR.T KIT-82501001) and eibach pro kit lowering springs (8568.14). They seem to offer only springs for 1.8t sedan and v6 wagon, but no 1.8t wagon. I was wondering if the sedan springs would be okay and would not ruin the suspension setup? I do understand they might be lower in the back due to the weight of the wagon, but I am not sure. Thanks

If you don't want to use a different spring brand, go with the v6 wagon springs. Sedan springs are softer in the rear and it wil not only sit lower, but the chances of bottoming out everywhere are high.

At worst, the v6 springs will make the front sit a little higher due to the engine weight.

I have a set of H&R 1.8l wagon springs I am willing to sell. Only has 20k miles, took them off 15 years ago. Comes in the original box, but a bit rough. Springs look good.
  • Lowers Front 1.3"
  • Lowers Rear 1.0"
Shoot me an offer plus shipping if interested.

Going to go for the v6 springs then. I was thinking about if I got 1.8t springs in the front, and v6 springs in the back. Tt made sense in my head haha, could it work though?

Yes, but you'd have to buy 2 sets of springs. At that point though, you might as well get a mid-grade set of coilovers for the price you'd spend on shock and 2 sets of springs.
