I ordered a set of eyelids for my B5.5 and am curious about the fitment. The outer side has a big "tab" that doesn't allow for proper fitment. It looks like you have to remove the headlight and install the eyelid and then reinstall the headlight....BUT, the fender will interfere with the "tab" if it is done this way. Don't mind the mismatched paint...I ordered them painted and not sure why they didn't paint them the correct color, even though I gave them the right code!

Already tried turning it every which way, both headlights. It will only "fit" the way that i have it orientated in the pictures. If the "tab" wasnt on the top toward the outter side, it looks like it would fit. You can tell in the second picture how the eyelid would taper toward the outer edge and be fatter near the grille side.

I don't have eyelids, so I don't really have any input or suggestions. But curious, would you mind share where you bought them?
Now that is just a silly question. Ebay of course.

Looks like you have the part oriented correctly as far as the L or R. You just need to adjust the alignment angles to the headlight. See the picture from the Ebay vendor.

Ebay, from Taiwan. They were quick to ship, took about 3 days to get here after they shipped. They didn't paint it the correct color even though I gave them the correct paint code. No response from them on that either.

That's the thing...there is no way to fit them though. The issue is where the fender meets the headlight assembly. That fat "tab" on the top will be sandwiched between the headlight and fender, and there just isn't enough space to do so. I don't even know if this is the correct piece...looks like it, but no clue about fitment.
