Any suggestions on where to source the small radio knobs for the double DIN B5.5 controls (bass, treble, fader, etc.)? These seem to be getting hard to find. Thanks in advance.

ECS tuning has it, but at 10bucks a pop?! I dunno man. Thats alot for a small knob. Thats more expensive than some of the engine pieces. Really?
Of course it's a lot. Why are you surprised? On this car a frickin' window gasket is $100, and an OEM headlight switch is $180. But the market and profit for radio knobs isn't large enough for aftermarket parts to appear, so what are you going to do - whittle one out of balsa wood?

Feeler: I'm producing a limited number of these made from Real Wisconsin Cheese!

Colby... $4.00
Cheddar... $4.25
Swiss... $3.85
Velveeta (100% synthetic!)... $7.75

:D
Local junkyard or someone parting a car in the classifieds.
As mentioned above, we do have them available if needed:

Note that VW sets the pricing on these... unfortunately I needed to buy some for my B5 V6 a few months back.

My local junkyard guy says the knobs go together with the radio.
Thanks for the ideas. Last time I checked ecstuning was not stocking them but good to know they are an option even if the price is high for such a small part.

Amazingly, I've found my favorite local authorized VW dealer is a good source for small parts like this. Typically takes two days to come in, and (when you figure shipping) is almost always cheaper than internet ordering. Better still, many dealers have an internet parts division, where you get "the internet price" for ordering online. Then you just specify local pickup.
