So, I've been shown the final missing link to my 'tailgate unlocked with all doors / tailgate operation via remote' coding mod: A pair of springs that install on the tailgate gas springs, which will (effectively) give you a power-lift tailgate. Pretty cool, eh?

And, they're reasonably priced - just 40€ for a kit. But... Company is in Germany - it's another 33.60€ shipping. :| Good news, though - one kit or 10, it's still 33.60€ to ship. So, I figured that I'd set up a group buy!
If at all possible, I'd like to get it to at least 10 people in the group - at that level, it's ~$51US shipped to my house (per kit.) Plus shipping out (I think they'll fit in a small flat-rate box), puts each buyer at $65 each - a savings to you of $21 (vs. buying it yourself)!
For maximum coverage, I'm cross-posting this to the Vortex, and to the B5/5.5 Passat Owners Group on Facebook. If you want to join in (and, you're also a multiple-forum member), PLEASE in ONLY one of the three threads - I don't need duplicate entries!
Also, if you join, it's a good opportunity to also send me your CCM for a re-code - that way, you get the whole caboodle, and I can combine the return ship to you - say, $100 for the combo (CCM coding + springs.)
All coding jobs will also add "window operation via remote" (does exactly what it says.)

Now I can do 'exchange' CCMs, if not having your CCM for a few days is holding you back. Core charge is $45 (will be refunded via 'send as gift', after I receive your old CCM.)
