came across a pic of someones ride on the site and they are too low for my DD. :( they appear to go lower than H&R Sport and Neuspeed Sport.

MJM Autohaus has these for $170.00 which is a great price. if you want to go lower than most cars without coils, I would go for it. these are a high quality spring and I like the red powdercoat, but I am weird about things like that. I don't like to have a lot of different colors on the car even though you can not see the springs with wheels on. call me crazy.

haha, if you don't like different colors, then you may not want to go look up vw's harlequin rabbit

yes, it is real. seems like vw ran out of pre-painted parts that matched, so they marketed this, and boy... it SOLD!
there's one in my area, i want to by the thing...

anywho, with a 1.6 drop, say goodbye to your alignment. aftr you do this swap, take your car into a shop that will AGREE to put your car on the alignment rack and correct/modify your settings to not destroy your tires.

this will have a massive affect on camber and toe.

yikes! :icon_eek: looks like a bad quilt.

I agree with you on the big drop issues. I have my G35 dropped approx. 1.1" and it caused me to have to replace the front A arms and rear camber arms with adjustable pieces so that I could get camber back to within factory specs. it was expensive, but not as expensive as having to replace tires every 10K.

I have decided to go with Eibach Pro Kit just for the reasons you mention. now if I could only decide on a set of dampers to go with these. :banghead:

isn't the eibach pro kit the springs and damper set?

maybe i'm mistaken.

either way, both of those products are good, and i'm lovin' rockin these pro-damper shocks.

Pro Kit is just the springs, Pro System is the springs and dampers and Pro System Plus also includes a sway bar.

From what you guys are saying is this kit is good but I'll run into alignment problems, right? so what do you recommend for my price range $500-600 for both shocks and springs?

Harlequinns are the shit. There's a guy who did an MKIV Jetta on Carlines as a Harlequinn and it looked badass.

My TRE's shit the bed BAD recently, I'm dropped ~3in.

Anyway B&G makes good coilover applications for GTI/Golf/Jetta(I've met and ridden in a few MKV's with them), but I've never heard of anyone running the Passat setup. I'd assume they'd be fine. The only way to know is to buy them and try them out.

1.6" on the car looks different than you'd think. Mine came down 2" and it was nowhere near as low as I wanted to be.

be sure to post those before and after shots. not enough love for the B&G setup here.

don't forget about upgrading those dampers as well. only want to pay for the labor once.
