Hello all, is there a feature that will automatically lock the doors if I forget to manually lock them on the key-fob when exiting the car? This is a pretty standard feature on other cars, so wondering if there is a way to do this with a 2017 Passat. I called VW and they said this is not a feature, which I find odd, so hoping there is a work around. Thanks in advance!
This feature is called "Keyless Entry" (kessy) and can be configured if you have sensors in your door handles. (car will lock/unlock via door handles).
If Kessy is available, it can be configured to auto lock/unlock if you are near the car using an ODB interface.
You never have to hit lock or unlock when you’re near the vehicle.
