I saw something like this (dunno if it was the same one) on Speed Channel a year back. Long story short, the Formula 1 car destroyed the fighter jet (F/A-18 Hornet iirc) to around 150 mph...and then the jet took off.
The F/A-18 is around 14,000 kg, with up to 6,000 kg of fuel. The Formula 1 car is 600 kg.
