[DWC_Passat]

I am considering getting the APR Stage I upgrade for my 2017 Passat. I've seen on their website that there is an OBD II dongle that will allow bluetooth connectivity so you can use an Android app to change settings instead of using the stalk. The dongle is $199!!!! So, my question is whether there is another, less expensive, dongle that will work with the APR software? I've seen other dongles that work with Torque and other programs. If the dongle only provides the bluetooth link/interface between Android and the ECU, what is so special about APR's dongle?

If you have experience with this and can recommend a particular non-APR dongle that you know works with their software please advise....
