Ok, I bought a cheap ebay cable a long time ago but it never worked. And I just found this thread about motordiag or whatever its call that is a program that will let your remote function as click up and click down windows with the fob.

It seems really easy as I've downloaded the software (free version) and I think mr greek has used it. Anyway, Just wondering if someone in the area has the ability to change use their dogle to read codes from vagcom lite. If so, i'm sure your cheap dongle will be great for hooking up the passat. I've read it only works on 2000-2005 vw's fyi.

I have the cable, and have done that window reprog to multiple cars. if you are going to be in waterloo at all over the weekend I am more then happy to do it for you real quick.
