So I'm probably going to toss that GTRS in my car tommorow. I've got a new oil supply line being made up and it looks like I can re-use the oil return line (I hope) The coolant lines are a bit of a head scratcher though. I checked ATP's PDF install, and in their infinite wisdom they installed an oil cooled only GT2X. So I'm SOL in that respect.

I've got a stubby barb fit line about 6 in long that looks like it hooks up to the line that runs out of the head. I assume that the line from the bottom of the block hooks up to the back side coolant port on the turbo. Does anyone have any pics of an installed GTRS elim? Also, does anyone know for sure what lines are re-used? I'd try and ask ATP but their customer service e-mail only policy is about as useless as tits on a nun.

isnt the center chunk just a garrett BB type CHRA with a custom exhuast housing? should just hook up like any normal BT. and if it is a normal garrett CHRA you better be using an oil restrictor and i belive the threads are different than the K03-k04.

It should be a standard CHRA. As for the oil supply, I've got the ATP restrictor on it and it's threaded for the standard Passat metric fittings. I made sure of that before I got the new oil supply line made.

does this help?

top line is the oil input line, the other line is the coolant feed line, in this orientation the coolant return is on the side closest to the block and the oil return is right on the bottom.

So is the coolant feed line the one that comes off the head? If so, then I think I'm right. I also asked Lawrence at Calgary Autoworks and he said that it really shouldn't matter which side it enters and exits on, so long as it's flowing through the cooling jacket.

oops my bad, feed comes off the block and returns to the coolant nipple on the upper coolant hard line.
