i want to change the tranny codes in my '00 and i would like to borrow a vag-com. I dont want to have to buy one right now just to change one code, and i specially don't have the money.

to be honest, that's kind of a lame idea.
there really isn't much you can change. it only has a few selections which signify weather the car is fwd or awd, the engine type/size, and maybe one more variable.

you can't tune it to change gears whenever you want it to.
that's done in the ECU by engaging sport mode, or by getting a chip.

i thought the vag-com was what you needed to change the code to turn on sport mode and change the auto tranny to old system
