The national championships for SCCA road racing has moved from Mid Ohio Sports Car Course to Heartland Park Raceway in Topeka, KS. 2nd Weekend of October.

We will be there with the #54 G Production class Rabbit. If you make it out, stop by and say hi. Our race is late Sunday.

If you make the trip you will see 24 races with the best ameture racers in the country driving everything from showroom stock, to highly modified Production class, to winged formula cars, to full bodied sports racers. It is a good time. Hope to see some folks there.

Once the kids are out of the house in 14 years, i hope to go to the nationals for SCCA Solo II. Good luck! Post some pics/vids if you can.

All of the races will be broadcast on Speed TV over the winter. They typically run from Thanksgiving to Christmas.

I have one of my own and another due in March. Yet I am still hoping to get 7 racing weekends for my car and 2-3 for Chuck's Rabbit in next year. I have found that the only way to keep playing with cars is to remove a lot of sleep from my daily routine...

I am leaving for Topeka tomorrow night. Talked to the guys by phone and we are currently #3 on grid with one more qualifying session tomorrow.

There will be a VW racer party on Friday night at the Mathis Paddock, if you are going to the runoffs, stop by.
