So theres a bit of rust beginning on some parts of my car. One being on the pillar of the passenger window, and the second being right beneath my license plate on the trunk lid. I have a feeling the piece thats damaged on the window can be replaced, can someone confirm and direct me where i could find one? And as for the trunk, whats the best way of eliminating and fixing this? its starting to get pretty bad. Any help is appreciated.

The door parts are simply called "trim for door window frame" by VW. They can simply be replaced (from a VW dealer or elsewhere) but they're about $60 so you may want to refinish them. Like any other rusty part, sand away the rust, use an anti-corrosion primer, and paint as needed - in this case gloss black.

Same goes for the trunk lid, though I certainly would't pay to replace that. Sand, prime, paint.
