Good enough for a chipped car? I like the feel of the stock clutch just fine. No plans on any major power upgrades.

Anybody know how much and where to get a stock FW? Not sure if I can resurface original FW.

I just went thru the same process and research. I think I can assume you have a 1.8t right?

I found that for Sach clutch kit, the cheaper place to get is here

Their own web site is http://buyclutch.com/VWSpecials.html

they also have kit that come with a new flywheel but I am not sure how good is the price on the flywheel.

Regards to resurface the flywheel, I think you really have to call or visit your local machine shop and ask them if they have the right tool to do it. If possible, bring a picture of the flywheel to show them.

Good luck
