PC, Palm, etc?

I saw on Ross-Tech's website that generic OBD functionality is planned for one of their products, but I'm in the market for something now and I'd rather not purchase two scan tools (for the wife's Saturn) and my B5.

Any ideas?

Any scan tool type device that is OBD-II compliant should work.

You mean any OBD-II compliant tool can do all of the whiz-bang neato stuff that a VAG-COM can do (recode tranny for sport mode, recode door locks, etc)? :shock:

No.

I mean an OBD-II tool will work for OBD stuff on your VW, Saturn, or any car that is 1996 or newer.

Which means that if the Ross-Tech product will do OBD-II, you can buy it and use it for basic diagnostic work on the Saturn, too.
