Hello everyone.
I inherited my Passat from my Dad several years ago with 90K on it. Have put an additional 100K on it, and it's starting to feel like it's getting close to retiring it. She just got flooded during the 2023 California storms and is now up and running at least (I replaced the TCM), but is still throwing an airbag fault code (which my non-VAG reader can't find), not to mention at least one and maybe several oil leaks in the engine. Right now she runs, though the engine compartment is a bit smoky. I'll browse the forums and see what my options are. My plan was to get a 4x4 of some sort in the summer and do a month or two of vanlife, so I was planning on retiring it anyway. If I can get a few more months out of it without too much pain I'll be thrilled.
