I have reposted due to putting it in the wrong section! sorry :banghead:

I am new to the forum after being reccomended to it as have got a Passat and would like to do a few mods to it.

The info in here is really helpful, you guys really know your stuff so I hope you can help me with this.

A guy a work with is selling his Audi A4. He has said that I can probably have his alloy wheels off it as I like them and he has managed to sell it without them.

They are 18's, that I think are RS4 style.

The ones currently on my car are standard. The car is a currently completely standard 1.9TDI 130 SE Saloon 2001.

Is there anything special that I will need to do to get them to fit?

I do not want to damage anything on the car or cause any problems etc.

Many thanks

tappers

You might want to switch wheel bolts along with the wheels as well, in case the seats or bolt lengths are different.Other than that (and that might not even be an issue) they should fit perfectly.Great find.Lucky bastard.

He has not given me a price yet but has said he will do me a good one what sort or price roughly do you think I should agree with as a max?

I do not think that he will try and rip me off but just checking

Not so lucky after all......It sounded like he was giving them to you for free.A pretty good deal would be $300-400 US (I have a feeling you ain't from Kansas, so i don't know what your currency equivalent is), especially if it includes a decent amount of tire left on them. A great deal would be US$200-300 for the set with good tire life left.Any thing over $400 would not be looking so great, but just average for used wheels. Alot depends on the condition of the wheels as well.If there is curbage, scrapes , chips etc, why not pay 10-25 dollars more per wheel for brand new unblemished wheels?
