hey guys any1 knows how to wire the af ratio gauge. i know it goes on the o2 sensor but which wire is it. thanks

Its been like two months im trying to figure out the same thing. I need a wiring diagram of the elctrical part where they hook up gauges. They say hook it up to blue wire and somewhere for the grounding.

tap into the signal wire on the front o2(iirc its grey) and then power and ground goto a switched power and any ground you chose..... dont goto the radio as a switched power bc as the power rises and falls you will do the same on the guage itself

Put a round eyelet on the ground wire and attach it to the chassis where that bolt is just above dude's hand in the picture.

thanks guys i know where the electrical wires go i was doubting where the signal wire goes. i wanted to know if it was the grey or white wire coming out the 02 sensor.

no prob. just remeber as looking at the gauge it will never stay still. and on acceleration it will rise and when foot to the floor the gauge will read complete rich. when decelerating you will see it run alittle lean. when decelerating while hard down shifting the gauge will run complete lean.

if you have the guage hooked to the radio as you sit there, you will see gauge pull with the bass and run back and fourth between lean and rich depending on the power your pulling and pushing with your head unit.

well a wideband gauge such as the aem comes with an extra bung that u have to weld on ur down pipe. but the gauge i have is a regular autometer a/f ratio so its a narrow band gauge.

sp33dy i just went out and checked, its the black one. i taped into it near the main connector away from the cat so there was no heat on the line splicer i used.

not really doesnt tell u the exact a.f ratio just gives u a look of if u runnin rich or lean

ok here is a perfect example: with a narro band when its reading a pedal to the floor feul mixture the ecu provides all fuel(more than needed) but once car is now steadily running a certain speed it will cut and rise fuel to keep it in a certain perimeter of where it needs to be....

now with the narrow band and you got your pedal to the floor and you know the gauges has been working flawlesly and you glance at it and you see your a/f gauge leaning out even tho your still picking up speed. this is where your motor is starten to need more fuel but its not getting it. so you would let off be4 the motor runs to lean and blows

a narrow band a/f gauge is just for a quick answer if the car is running the same or worse but deff. not as good as a wide band.

I checked my AEB and it has two white, one grey and one black. I'll try black then. :thumbup:
