the light bulbs that light the a/c controls have gone out in my 99 b5. its allright untill the night time, i have to turn on the doem light to see what im doing.hhheelllp........ thanx........... :???:

Take pliers, wrap in a towel so you don't scratch anything, and pull the 1-2-3-4 knob straight off. There is a little bulb in there. CAREFULLY take it out with either needle noise pliers or something else. You can pick up replacements at the local autoparts store.

my '99s lights went out one day, and i just sort of gave the panel a sharp tap with my finger, and they came back on- apparently some sort of loose connection... and now when i'm bored, i can toggle the lights on and off by tapping at the panel! :roll:
