I know this has happened to lots of others, so maybe someone could relate their experiences. The plastic extension of the oil dipstick in my 99 broke recently. Now the dipstick doesn't "seat". It just sort of lays there. Is this part easily/inexpensively replaced? Superglue? What works?

Thanks and Regards,

Kenny

Drew parts also has it on their 'special oder' page. For the cost of shipping though it is probably cheaper to pick this one up at your dealership.

If yours is like mine when you go to remove the section that attaches (just a snap fit) onto the dipstick tube some small bit of pastic will crack off of the guide and remain stuck in the tube. I opened the oil fill cap on the engine then used my shop vac with a length of small plastic tubing to vacuum the chips up and out. Worked great.
