Lot of mindless...........(STUPID) auto crime going on these day's!!

They broke into my brother's GTI last Sat....(Broke the friggin glass......they still do that?).

Here's a grand list of what they stole:

(1) power cord to his GPS...

THAT"S IT!

Left the GPS, All in one dub din touch screen, Bazooka tube, amp under seat, $7 bucks in change in the ash tray..........array of tools in the rear.............WTF?????:banghead:

Cost him $180 to get the glass replaced.........more of a headache than anything else..........I mean really....WTF??????

Sounds like someone came out from another building or rode past after they broke the window, or someone was pissed at your brother and just wanted to break his window and decided to take the cord to mess with him.

I wonder how they took it. No one noticed a flatbed truck? It's not like you can hotwire these things, can you?
Not really, they just break the ignition switch to start it. The NA B5 did not get an Immobilizer until late 2001. Only Immob. II, the W8 had Immob. III. In Europe the B5 had Immob. II pretty much since its inception and the B5.5 always had Immob. III

No thank god it wasnt thrashed. Or stripped down everything is still there the way i had it. Except the ignition switch. Its gone nd the door handle key slot is broken as well thats about it.
Which makes me wonder if

  1. They thought there'd be "goodies" to carry away
  2. They needed a lowkey getaway car
  3. They just like riding in fine German automobiles
