I use dropbox to host my images, which are usually 800x600. For example see the first post in this thread. None of my images are showing, instead they have been rewritten to redirect to some image scaler script that I guess is broken and returns 403 forbidden. Note my images are under the maximum size and that the reason I have used dropbox is because in the past this site had a habit of taking the inline images and making them thumbnails, I'd rather people see the actual images I am posting. Thanks

Code:

The above post I inserted the image by clicking and inserting from my desktop.I clicked full-size once and thumbnail once. That is what showed up.

Was your post from before the "new" forum ?

I guess they have improved on images. Regardless I used dropbox and I'm pretty sure the posts were made after the forum changed so they should fix it for those of us that still use 3rd party services. Thank you for checking.

I found a trick to bypass the bad filter, if I click on reply to a post it quotes the whole post including inlining the pictures. It would be nice if someone would fix this, I am a little tired of referring people to posts with pics that don't work.

Nothing I have the power to do, but I can bring it up to the owner/admins.

Hopefully it was fixed, but not as a result of me asking about it. The owners are not responding to any of our threads/messages for months now.

Still broken. You can tell from the thread I linked to in the first post. In a web debugger I can see the response for all of them is ERROR 9419: Requested image URL has invalid syntax or is not allowed.
