Hello all. First time poster. Just picked up a 2012 Passat TDI SEL to use as my daily driver.

My other cars going back a bunch of years (primarily GM products) have a thing called "Retained Power." Once the ignition is shut off, the accessories remain powered until either one of the doors is opened or a certain period of time has elapsed - I believe it's six minutes.

I have not seen anything like this mentioned in the owner's manual, and as soon as I shut off the ignition the car goes dark.

Does this model have any feature such as the retained power that other manufacturers have? If so, how is this feature enabled?

Thanks in advance

Mike

I don't believe so, or at least, not in the same sense. It retains power to the windows and allows the radio to be turned back on. Have you tried going through the settings in the MFD using the wiper stalk buttons?
