Greetings folks! My wife and I just decided to keep the Passat around until it melts into molten goo so I figured I'd make an account here. It's a 2006 B6 2.0T, relatively problem free so far with 170,000 miles on the clock. It was originally a rental car and she bought it in 2008. Major items repaired/ replaced include heater core, rear driver's side door locking assembly, fuel pump assembly, transmission valve body, and most recently the timing belt, water pump, pulleys, tensioner. I own a 1994 Pontiac TransAm that I do my own work on and have been able to transfer some of that know-how to the VW. Here it is nestled all comfortably in the garage with its garage-mate the T/A.
