I was surprised at the effectiveness of the cleanup. Looks like a great deal of effort was made to prep the car for photography; it looks very good. The underside shots really show the impact of having salt on the winter roads - a shame really.

That said, one can clearly see corrosion on the underside of the body and the suspension and exhaust. I'm not from where they use salt on the roads, and have no experience in determining if that's surface
It all looks pretty much like surface rust (yes it's a thing). With it being that old I would suspect some things might need replacing due to the rust but it certainly looks like they took the time to keep the salt corrosion at bay. I have seen much worse. The care is very clean from top to bottom. If they weren't such a PITA to work on I would look into it lol
ya, up here things rot from the inside out. the salt site on the inner fender lip, the frame, the exhaust hangers, its a rough place.I was surprised at the effectiveness of the cleanup. Looks like a great deal of effort was made to prep the car for photography; it looks very good.

Sorry my quoting didn't work correctly in my last post.ya, up here things rot from the inside out. the salt site on the inner fender lip, the frame, the exhaust hangers, its a rough place.
My reply to dbrick was supposed to only be the last paragraph. I have lived up North where salt is used in abundance during the winters. I can spot it a mile away. I live near the coast now and the salt water/salty air does the same. I see a lot of people from up North down here that have brought their cars with them and whenever I'm looking at used cars people are surprised that I can tell that the car came from the North or coast. Ummmm if you know what to look for. It's a no brainer lol
