Hi guys,

I replaced all mountings (Snub,2 Engine, rest gear mountings) 2 months back. And i am not satisfied much because my headlights still vibrates at idle and stop lights. Even some plastic inside cabin vibrates :(
I usually feel the most vibration when i cold starts. At first its little vibration which increase as rpm goes down till 800rpm.
Vibration is reduced little when i switch on a/c and also During driving vibration is very less and cant be felt much.

What i felt is that engine just vibrate at idle on its own.
Where should i start and suspect ?

2002 Passat B5.5
AZM Engine , 150000kms.
Timing belt replaced at 90,000 kms.
New tyres and both wheel alignment and Wheel balance done 2 months back.

Thanks and Regards,
Rashid Jafar

My sister's B5 does the same thing. I've heard cheap replacement axles are to blame because the shaft is too narrow, but since good axles are expensive, I haven't convinced her to replace them. Can anyone confirm?
After you installed the engine mounts I think you are supposed to start up the engine to let it settle into place. Then proceed to torque the bolts on the mounts to the correct spec.

Did you do this?

Yes Zach. I installed the snub mount by accelarating few times And then i torqued the bolts.

But even today i felt more vibration at a stage where my rpm came 800 from a cold start.
Feels like small wobbling due lack of something :(

Does this can vibrate my headlight beams at idle ?
I feel like some thing related to engine to vibrate.
Any where to suspect ?
