Hi I am new to the group as well as Volkswagens...... If anyone has any thoughts on this car it would sure be apreaciated..... It's throwing anywhere from 12-22 codes and every module in the car lights up with faults.... However it does start and drive but it bangs in 5 th gear when you let off the gas and it really does t run all that great.... 2001 B5.5 2.8 tiptronic non 4motion.... Car Sat for approximately 6 months under a tree... Battery was deader then shit! Although it did take a charge and starts the car fine.... Dude I got it from lost the key.... I got a pretty good buy on the car hoping to drive it for a bit and then maybe flip it

I don't know much but, I would start with clearing all the codes first. Dead battery will do that. Then see what codes come back to you. When you get the new list of codes you can search for them on here. You could have bad gas from sitting for a while so some fresh gas would be a help too.

J have driven the car enough to put a Second tank of gas in it and it did improve some but the codes are still there.... The fella at the dealer ship cleared the codes as well as a friend that has a scanner.... Also I forgot to mention that the car leaks oil pretty bad.... I suspect from the half moon gaskets on both the front and rear of the engine
