This car was previously owned by @soundguybob . After he went for a few years with no interest in the car I struck a deal with him to swap the engine and post it for sale after all the repairs were completed. We live in the same town and have known each other for a long time. Feel free to check his or my profile for more info on the car - I'm pasting my description from other selling platforms below. I have it priced at $4000 elsewhere, but listed it here at the lowest I possibly can.

For sale is a highly customized and recently serviced 2000 Passat V6 GLS 5-speed Wagon. The original engine suffered a timing chain tensioner failure and was replaced in August 2022. Service at that time included:

Slightly used Spec stage I clutch, pressure plate, and dual-mass flywheel. All new bolts were used for the flywheel. (was purchased here from a member)
New timing chain tensioners (both sides) purchased from ECS Tuning.
All new cam seals, timing chain seals, and valve cover gaskets.
Complete Timing belt kit with Continental belt, Graf water pump, belt roller and tensioner roller, NTN Timing belt dampener and tensioning lever, Audi/VW thermostat, and Continental serpentine belt.
Air Filter and Oil Change with Liqui Moly 5w-40 LM20232
New group H7 battery
Two new flex pipes past the catalytic converters ($100 each)
Front right ABS sensor
All engine work was performed according to the Bentley manual precisely following torque specs

Upgrades and improvements to the car are as follows:

Thor aluminum skid plate
Passat W8 gauge cluster, interior lights, and sunroof control
Black, heated leather front seats
Heated Mirrors
Blaupunkt head unit with CD player and bluetooth aux adapter
ECU tuned by SpeedTuning USA
Hella Projector headlights w/ HIDS installed
Upgraded window motors to B5.5 version
Euroswitch

Previous maintenance:

New tires 15K ago
New front brake pads, rotors, and cylinders 8K ago
New hood strut
New alternator less than 15K ago

The aforementioned service added up to over $1700 in parts alone. Heat and AC both work. The clear coat is peeling on the hood, roof, and rear bumper. No rust to be found.

Current issues are as follows:

Front passenger door sometimes loses communication with the rest of the car. In other words, the door lock and window controls will not respond on occasion.
There are a couple of ongoing CELs for emissions equipment: One rear O2 sensor (which I have a replacement for) and insufficient secondary air injection system flow on the passenger side. This is a common problem that does not affect the operation of the car.
Headliner on sunroof is completely loose. Headliner is sagging in other spots and coming loose around the pillars a bit.

This is a great driving and riding car with all engine maintenance already done. No creaks, noises, or vibrations. It brakes great and has an impressive amount of power. I have made several out of town trips with it since repairs and will be daily driving it for the next few weeks. Have put over 4,000 miles on the car since the engine was exchanged and it has run flawlessly in that time. Have vehicle history reports available, clean 2-owner title with no accidents. Feel free to message with any questions. Currently sitting at a little over 207,000 miles.
