20 years... time flies.. have owned a bunch of autos' but mostly vw's!! currently on a beater b5 Passat wagon.. which I have grown to love ! it was bought after a severe car accident as a "get by until lawsuit settles car" since I knew mk4 /b5 and older vw's prior to the accident I stuck with a car I could work on with my limited physical and mental abilities post accident.. ( took a big snow plow to my driver door .. it was not pretty

so I have been on the vortex for 20 years.. only discovered Passat world in the last year or so since owning the B5.. love that there is so much detail and tech on here.. the vortex is great but full of random trash

here are a few other past vw's .. and the subbie that was totaled .. I really enjoyed that legacy.. .not so happen with the way it handled the crash though

I landed in my Passat as a "just get a car for now... any car" solution. A bunch of years/dollars/modifications later and here I still am. :driving:

i may end up keeping this passat.. i really like the torque curve on the 2.8 30v its a 5spd wagon.. worth more to me than i could sell it for anyway lol... plan to buy an audi later this year the b5 will likely become a project

I think even the Passat would not have taken a snow plow to the driver's door very well. I do know it does quite well when it is flipped on it's roof

The V6 is great with a manual trans, torque right at idle.
