Will 2 single DIN components fit into a double DIN space?
I know this sounds like a stupid question, but is this right?
If I can do this how is it done?

I am considering installing one of these combos:

and was wondering how to go about doing so.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can put two single DIN units into a DD location. It may actually be easier since you won't have the separator taking up space in there so you'll have a little more play to get everything in there.

That was my concern.

Without the divider how hard it to keep both units in place?
Is there some kind of adapter that I can get so that they fit correctly?
If so, Where can I get one?

I appreciate your guy's imput on this stuff.

You could make one from a strip of abs plastic if you want. I thought doing the install was more difficult with the divider since even though it's only 1/8" every DIN sleeve I've put in there was a VERY tight fit. When I did an install in one with the DD opening I really liked the extra space.

With or without the divider the units will sit exactly the same. The divider isn't big enough to use as an anchor point for the DIN sleeves so all it does is separate the nose pieces of the radios and the trim rings for the individual units will do that anyway. As for bumping it's a non-issue. I've never had a problem with the units even touching so bumping shouldn't be an issue.
