I have not been able to locate a diagram of relays and fuses that directly matches my car.(most have things where I have empty spaces and vice versa)... the issue is where the diagram I found online says my ecm fuse should be there are no metal connectors in side of this "bay" which it shows as circuit 43. any help on a proper diagram for the v6 would be great

The Bentley manual has one fuse layout diagram to cover all the B5 & B5.5 Passats; even it shows fuse 43 as "open."

The schematics in Bentley will show every fuse for each engine and variation. For the V6 ATQ, it's schematic 69. There's no fuse panel layout in the schematics, though--you just have to find the fuses. For the ATQ engine:

> Fuse 29: 20A, coil pack (fuse hot side switched by fuel pump relay)
> Fuse 32: 20A, fuel injectors and ECM (fuse hot side switched by ignition)
> Fuse 34: 20A, O2 sensors, 5 solenoid valves, MAF sensor, leak detection pump, SAIP relay (fuse hot side switched by fuel pump relay)
> Fuse 28: 15A, fuel pump (fuse hot side switched by fuel pump relay)

The ECM itself gets unfused, unswitched power from the battery, as well.
