I just bought a replacement side view mirror for my 99 passat. They sold me a smaller looking one and said its more common. Now I have to different sized side view mirrors. Does anyone else in here have this set up? Is it common?

I bought some new monster mats and when I installed them, I noticed a big gap between the tranny and the mat. When I put them on top of my wife's mats I noticed that they were smaller. Looks like VW redesigned them for no apparent good reason. In my wife's B5, the do ride up ever so slightly...
